​Michelle Stoddard loves a good story, no matter what its genre. Writing everything from historical mystery to nerd-culture comedy, she enjoys the different styles and the challenges they present.

Michelle’s true love, however, is historical fiction. She’s fascinated by the day-to-day life of those who lived in times past, as well as the (often stranger than fiction) events that shaped our world today. In addition to bringing history to life through her writing, she enjoys historical re-enactments and competing in historical fencing—a hobby that inspired her swashbuckling novel Secrets & Steel.

In her free time, Michelle can be found riding her horse, adventuring with friends, or curled up on the couch with her cat and a book.
